Reports To: Aligned Market Director(s)

Mission Statement: Supporting Market Directors & Consultants in overall block growth management. This includes RFP/sales coordination with the added responsibilities and focus of managing broker relationships, consulting on plan recommendations, carrier negotiations, business development strategies, and comfort handling direct and challenging external discussions without management oversight or direction. 

 

Requirements

 Skill Set & Product/Technical Knowledge: 

  • Understands employee benefit products & services with knowledge of dental, vision, life, disability, and supplemental health products

  • General understand of the Employee benefit marketplace including carrier and broker relationships dynamics and the client lifecycle over time

  • Positive attitude and the desire to learn

  • Can excel without a lot of management oversight or direction

  • Creativity and problem-solving abilities 

  • Embrace the change that makes the company better (change is guaranteed as we grow)

  • High level of responsiveness and professional communication both internally and externally

  • Ability to partner and over-communicate internally with the Nelligan team and externally with our carriers and broker partners 

  • Comfort in a decentralized, small team structure with the ability to work fully remote

  • A self-starter who enjoys an autonomous work style

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to adapt to high volumes during peaks business seasons 

  • Highly organized

  • Can support sales teams and work with multiple departments
